What is it?

During a session of hypnotherapy we appeal to our subconscious. By this we mean indirect thoughts that can still have an influence on our current thinking capacity and our actions. In hypnotherapy it is assumed that certain inhibitions in the here and now can be explained by the subconscious mind. So it serves as a kind of protection! These inhibitions can feel a bit like tension and fear. During the session our subconscious is taught that it is ok not to “protect” certain things anymore.

What can hypnotherapy be used for? We asked Astrid!

For example, research has shown that 50% of people who want to stop smoking have already stopped completely after two weeks. Another study was able to prove that almost 90% of smokers in treatment were anything but hungry for a cigarette after three months. A woman who had been suffering from an eating disorder for more than six years was completely relieved after a few sessions of hypnotherapy. Not nothing!
